☽ Ritual + Rites of Passage
My enthusiasm for ritual and rites of passage began with mythology and folklore as a child, moving into the goddess movement, wicca, paganism, natural magick, metaphysics and theosophy in my late teens and early twenties.
Over the past decade, my path has continued to evolve and unravel, moving beyond inherited spiritual systems towards ancestral ways of knowing, seasonal living, nature-based ritual and a deeper connection to the land I live upon.
☽ Creating Space
My studio has been at the heart of my creative and healing practice for many years, evolving through art, design, jewellery and natural health, with pop-up shops and markets from 1993 through to 2021.
In 2012, we opened our fifteen acres of wildwood, creating a space for healing, gathering, creativity, ritual and community.
In 2017, I formally began facilitating women's circles for the public, alongside workshops, gatherings and retreats.
☽ Who I work with
I work primarily with women who are curious, open-minded and navigating change whether that is a shift in health, relationships, identity, motherhood, menopause, beliefs or direction
Some arrive with questions, some in times of uncertainty or transition and others simply feel a need for change
My work is for women who are ready to explore, learn, question old ways of thinking and find a deeper sense of connection with themselves and the life they are creating.
☽ The Space
The space is situated in Limilngan-Wulna Country in Humpty Doo, about 40 minutes south of Darwin on fifteen acres of lush native bushland pledged to Land for Wildlife,with a unique patch of sandsheet country and a seasonal wet-season billabong.
Across the property are a number of spaces for gathering, healing and creating. From the elevated starspace , to the covered elevated space beside the healing room, a tipi and glamping area and an outdoor kitchen nestled amongst the bush.
The land is filled with a wide variety of bush medicines, flowers and food plants, some of which are used in the botanical prescriptions offered to clients here at Sacred Earth.
Events, workshops, healing sessions and gatherings are held throughout the year, each with their own relationship to the land and seasons.
